About Me
I’m Kinsey Beckett—a scribbler, dog snuggler, storyteller, and lover of miniature play foods.
At 7 my dream was to be costume designer to the Muppets. I did get to live out that dream in a small way while interning with the Chiodo Bros in Burbank, CA. There I created stop motion puppets (and their clothes!) and was a set dresser. Though I mainly focus on illustration and graphic design these days, I like to think I bring a little of that sparkly tactile magic to everything I do.
I’ve illustrated two childrens’ books: When Mommy’s Home with Me by Alison Moulton (2017) and Temples Dot the Earth by Claire D’Ecsery (2016).
I have a BFA in Illustration from Brigham Young University. I was an art director and designer at a small regional publishing house. I currently am administrative assistant to Red Fox Literary.
